Artist Greg Call's Latest Project, "Peter and the Shadow Thieves", written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, and published by Hyperion Press has been on top of the NY Times Bestseller List for the previous four weeks. This book, the action-packed sequel to "Peter and the Starcatchers" is full of twists and turns, taking the reader in all kinds of unexpected directions. Artist Greg Call says, "The authors really hit their stride with this book. The story is a lot of fun, with tons of great characters, and it includes imagery you would never imagine in a Peter Pan story." Greg attributes the success of the project to the talent and confidence of all involved. "One of the greatest things about working with this particular team of authors, editor Wendy Lefkon, and art director Ann Diebel is that they are all so good at what they do. They have a lot of confidence, so they are confident enough to let you do what you do best. Ann Diebel has been great to work with and her thoughtful art direction always improves the finished product. I'm lucky to be part of this project." Of this book, one reviewer writes, "Greg Call's wonderful black-and- white illustrations are deliciously old-fashioned and add plenty of atmosphere to a silly, swashbuckling story that shows us how Peter Pan came to fly and why he, and his story, will never get old."
